Galatasaray lost 3-2 to RB Leipzig in the first pre-season friendly match for 2019-2020 season.

Lions find the first goal of the match and season with a nice header from Ryan Babel, getting the lead on 28th minute of the game. Mariano's great cross to near post found Babel's head after an array of accurate and organized build-up from our midfield.

When the referee whistled for the end of first half Lions still had the lead but already lost control of the game. Especially through the end of first half, the opponent disrupted our rhythm and passing by increasing pressure on our defensive line.

RB Leipzig built up their game with organized counter-press in the last 10 minutes of first half but got the actual results in second half.

In 56th minute, a free-kick shot deflected by our wall found our net and equalised the game. Halstenberg levelled the score after a foul by Donk to stop a quick counter-attack.

Then, in the next two minutes Leipzig found two quick goals right after the each kick-off with two through balls to carve our defense open. First, Poulsen got RB Leipzig the lead in 58th minute with a strong shot and made it 2-1. In 59th minute, Augustin brought 3-1 with a similarly powerful shot in an easy one on one situation against our keeper.

After a low-tempo and uneventful 30 minutes, our team made it 3-2 just before the end of the game: After an easy mistake made by Leipzig goalie on a goal kick, our young prospect Erencan Yardımcı got the ball, dribbled past the keeper and passed it to Babel on the far post. It was easy for Dutch forward to tap the ball to an empty goal.

The match ended with a 3-2 defeat for our Lions after the goal.
